Super Visa

Super Visa

SUPER VISA enables Canadian citizens and permanent residents to bring their parents and grandparents to visit Canada. It is a multi-entry visa that grants entry in Canada multiple times within a period of 10 years. Super visa holders can continuously stay in Canada for up to 2 years without having to renew their status. In order to be eligible to enter Canada with a super visa, one has to be the parent/grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Applicants willing to apply for a super visa must have a letter of invitation from their children or grandchildren who are citizens or PRs of Canada. Applicants must also have medical insurance.

Note: A super visa holder is not considered as PR or citizen of Canada. There is a separate program to apply for permanent residency of parents and grandparents. Super visa holders are not allowed to work in Canada during their stay.
